17 Year Old Invents VetiGel, A Product That Heals Wounds In Seconds

Originally invented when he was 17 out of his grandfathers lab, the now 22 Joe Landolina, has invented an algae-based polymer that when injected into an open, gushing, wound will stop bleeding within seconds and heal the wound in a few minutes. This is the product of VetiGel which is both a strong adhesive to hold the wound together and gives the building blocks for the body to produce fibrin, the protein that helps repair tissue long term, says creator Landolina. Landolina is now the cofounder and CEO of Suneris, a biotech company that creates the gel, and the company is beginning to ship to veterinarians later this summer and humans will soon be using this gel, first in the military, then in operating rooms and then in households.

Countries in the Asia Pacific region are also answering the call for sustainable energy and are supposed to account for more than half of the world’s new solar panel capacity this year. Following the reduction of nuclear power after the Fukushima crisis, Japan is installing many new solar panels and India  also has a huge market that’s potential is being tapped.

Honda To Introduce Hydrogen Fuel Cell Car

“We're developing an entire new generation of electrified vehicles," said John Mendel, the executive vice president of American Honda. The Japanese car manufacturer plans to introduce a new hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, new plug-in hybrid, and a new battery electric vehicle but has not given dates. Honda has also abandoned production of it compressed natural gas and hybrid versions of the Honda Civic due to lack of buyer attraction.

Google Announces Singapore Expansion

The Singapore center is projected to be completed in two years.
